Back in March we introduced the Vulcano community to the two mascots that were created for The Vulcano Project by a professional artist.
Here is the backstory of Vulcan “Blacksmith of Currency”:
Ancient greek and roman ships are rumored to have first seen Vulcan around 200 B.C. creating a fiery glow on the Island of Vulcano. Legend has it that Vulcan forged gold coins for the largest empires throughout history, and also forged weapons for armies of great rulers. He used a giant iron hammer, and the lava flowing down from Vulcano. Vulcan made good use of earth’s natural resources to shape the course of history. The spirit of Vulcan is embodied within the Vulcano project as we continue to build a community dedicated to forging a sustainable future.
